The new high specification offices at Morpeth’s Sanderson Arcade have now been unveiled and are already attracting a great deal of interest from businesses keen to be located in the town.
An open day was held earlier this month and already three businesses are interested in taking space in the fantastic new Austin House offices located above the stylish Edwardian inspired arcade.
The £32 million mixed use development was officially opened by Joanna Lumley in November last year with 27 new retail units opening for trade in the market town – including M&S, Fat Face, Waterstones and New Look.
Work then started on the first floor offices and already local businesses including Castle Chiropractic, Castle Morpeth Housing and Sam Allen Estates have moved to Sanderson Arcade. Energie the women’s only gym has also taken 3,500 sq ft of space above the New Look store.
The latest phase of offices were unveiled at the beginning of February and further space will be available later in the year with sizes ranging from 300 to 11,291 sq ft (28 to 1,049 sq m)
Sanderson Arcade Centre Manager Debbie Anderson said: “It has been a busy time at the Arcade with Energie opening this month and the release of the offices, we are looking forward to welcoming more new businesses.”
David Nicholson, director at James Barr, said: “Sanderson Arcade is a fantastic location to start a new business or relocate and expand, Morpeth is a lovely market town and the mix of different uses at the Arcade, make it a great place to work.”
