New fashion store brings some Eastern promise to Sanderson Arcade!

LADIES fashion retailer EAST are taking the final unit at Morpeth’s successful town centre Sanderson Arcade development.

EAST has more than 60 stores nationwide and the company is passionate about giving customers something unique – all designs are ‘designed to be individual’. The company is taking the final unit along the Arcade’s stunning Edwardian style gallery covering 1,754 sq ft (163 sq m).

The brand’s heritage comes from the EAST and notably India where it draws upon traditions and skills to create handcrafted and inspired prints with intricate and exceptional detailing. Statement and coordinating accessories complete the look.

Suzi Spink Chief Operating Officer of EAST said: “Sanderson Arcade was an obvious choice for EAST when considering which towns to target as part of our 2010 expansion plan. We had been impressed with the plans for the development from when we first saw them and wanted to be a part of this exciting opportunity.

“We know from customer letters and our database that we have loyal customers in the area who are not always able to travel to John Lewis Newcastle or Durham and would love a local store.

We are very excited about the opening of the store on April 29th and both Penny Oliver, our Product Director and myself will be there for the opening day.”

Work is now well underway on the internal fit out of the new store at Sanderson Arcade which will neighbour Fat Face and Clarks. EAST will open to Morpeth’s shoppers on Thursday April 29th creating more new jobs in the town.

Debbie Anderson, Centre Manager at Sanderson Arcade, said: “We are delighted that EAST are opening here at Sanderson Arcade, they have a stunning ranges of clothes for ladies and there is a real buzz about the company coming to Morpeth.”

Work is due to start in May on the next phase of the Sanderson Arcade development which will create a further 6,470 sq ft (601 sq m) of retail space.
