Spotlight on fashion as arcade stores step out in style to support local charity!
Fashion stores at Morpeth’s Sanderson Arcade are showcasing their spring and summer collections later this month – all in support of a great local charity, Barnabas Safe & Sound.
An Evening of Entertainment is being held at Morpeth’s Riverside Lodge on Thursday 24th March with a stylish fashion show as well as music from the talented David Ball - the North’s East’s answer to Michael Buble!
The event has been organised to promote the work of Barnabas Safe & Sound, and give shoppers a sneak preview of the latest styles from the Arcade’s fashion retailers – including the brand new Monsoon store - as well as raising essential funds for the charity.
Barnabas Safe & Sound runs the Youth and Activity Centre at Wellwood House in Morpeth and provides vital support services to vulnerable young people across the county.
Students from KEVI School will be showcasing their own fashion creations, and a silent auction is being held along with the chance to win some great raffle prizes.
Manager of Barnabas Safe and Sound, Chris Menzies, said: “Working in partnership with Sanderson Arcade has enabled Barnabas Safe and Sound to raise awareness of its activities. This event demonstrates that businesses in the town share our vision for a community that enables young people to thrive.
We hope members of the wider community will want to show their support by joining us on 24th March for a fabulous evening of entertainment and fundraising.”
Centre Manager at Sanderson Arcade, Debbie Anderson, said: “We are looking forward to a great evening on the 24th. It is a real opportunity to promote the work of Barnabas, and I can’t wait to see some of the fantastic summer styles that our stores here at the Arcade will be showing. We’re particularly excited that the team at Monsoon are taking part as they will have literally just opened their new store at the Arcade the day before.”
