Young Morpeth VIP Lights Up Sanderson Arcade This Weekend!
Sanderson Arcade’s fantastic Christmas lights will be switched on this Saturday by Santa – and his very special little helper Molly Bowles-Symons.
Nine year old Molly is the winner of the Arcade’s festive competition with the prize of some fantastic Christmas treats for her and her family and the chance to be the lights switch on VIP!
Molly will be joined by her family when she steps up to press the magic button which will launch the lights at 4.30pm on Saturday. (November 12th)
She was selected from hundreds of entries in the Sanderson Arcade Christmas Competition.
Entrants had to explain why they would like to help Santa and the Morpeth youngster wrote that she’d like to help Santa because he might be able to help her get a hamster for Christmas!
There will be events throughout the day this Saturday in the build up to the big switch on with free children’s roundabout rides, stilt walkers, candy floss and chocolate giveaways. Metro Radio’s Brian Moore and Anna Foster will be hosting the events with some great entertainment and competitions throughout the afternoon.
Sanderson Arcade Centre Manager Debbie Anderson said: “We had some fantastic entries and picking a winner was really hard, but we all loved Molly’s entry and we are looking forward to welcoming her and her family on Saturday to switch our lights on.
“We’ve got a great day lined up; there really is something for everyone so we’re looking forward to a really good event to celebrate the lights being switched on."
