The popular North East fashion retailer and beauty salon Lemon and Lime is expanding and moving from Morpeth’s Sanderson Arcade to new premises in the town centre.
The new shop at 32 Newgate Street will allow the brand to separate its beauty salon and fashion range and also expand with a new children’s clothing range called “Lemon Squash.”
There will also be more room to offer customer refreshments and create a new feel in the boutique and salon. Staff are getting ready to open in the new premises on February 7th and are planning a launch party once they’ve moved across.
Kimberley Sowden from Lemon and Lime said: “We’ve loved our time at Sanderson Arcade, it has definitely helped us to establish in Morpeth and we have fabulous loyal customers. We can’t wait to show them the new look store in our new location.”
Lemon has been based at the Arcade since the development opened in November 2009 – launching the Lime beauty concept a few months later.
Sanderson Arcade Centre Manager Medi Parry said: “Lemon is a great shop and a really popular name here at the Arcade so we’re delighted the company is staying in Morpeth and expanding its range in the town.”
The British designer fashion brand Hobbs is taking the former Lemon unit, which covers 940 sq ft, to create the area’s first stand alone store. The new fashion store is planning to open in mid March.
