Crowds Turn Out at Sanderson Arcade for Annual Spooktacular event
30 October 2017
Sanderson Arcade saw another successful Halloween event at the weekend (28th October) with lots of spooky activities going on across the centre.
More than 80 pumpkins were decorated at the pumpkin design
workshop which saw some fantastic and creative entries.
The birds of prey display and creepy crawlies exhibition also
proved popular with the crowds and there were some great prizes awarded in the costume
parade.
Two year old Leo Fogarty was the winner of the under six years
costume parade for his fantastic scary pirate outfit! Lacey Shippen aged five
was the runner up of the younger category for her amazing Maleficent costume.
Lexie Straker aged seven, was the winner of the 7-13 years costume
parade and came to the Arcade dressed as a scary Alice in Wonderland! The
runner up of this category was Sienna Shippen aged eight who dressed up as a
spooky mermaid.
Event goers at the Halloween Spooktacular also raised a huge
£110 for Sanderson Arcade’s chosen charity, the Alan Shearer Foundation.
Centre Manager Joel Plumley said: “The Sanderson Arcade
Spooktacular was a fantastic event and we had so much fun judging the different
competitions and seeing the amazing costumes- well done to everyone who took
part.
“We hope everyone will come down and join us for our next big
event- the Christmas Lights Switch On which is taking place on Saturday 18th
November.”
