Egg-stra Entertainment on offer this Easter at Sanderson Arcade

The team at Morpeth’s Sanderson Arcade are hosting a bigger and better Eggstravaganza event this year by extending the entertainment over the Easter weekend.

The Easter entertainment will begin on Good Friday when Harry Mears will be making a return visit to perform some of his well-known songs.

The saxophone player will be in the Piazza area from 12pm until 3pm getting the shoppers into the Bank Holiday weekend mood.

On Saturday the 15th of April the big Easter Eggstravaganza event will be held with family entertainment throughout the day.

From 11am a full line up of free face painting, Easter stilt walkers and an Easter egg hunt trail will also be held.

There will also be an opportunity for children to bring along their decorated Easter bonnets or join in the craft session in the piazza area and decorate a bonnet. A bonnet parade will then be held with lots of Easter themed prizes to be won - the event will also feature a Pets Corner.

To end the Easter Eggstravaganza weekend in style, artist and songwriter David Stoker will be performing at the Arcade on Easter Monday from 12pm until 2pm.

David has performed at the Arcade numerous times before and is influenced by an eclectic mix of music styles including Pop, EDM and Acoustic music.

Filipa Conceicao, Assistant Centre Manager at Sanderson Arcade says, ‘We are really looking forward to Easter this year and have decided to put on entertainment to cover the whole Easter weekend.

“The musical entertainment is part of the centre’s live music every Saturday and Sunday and we are working to extend this throughout the year.”
