Spooky treats at Morpeth’s Wednesday Market – just in time for Halloween

22 October 2014

If you go to the Morpeth Wednesday Market on October 29th you’re sure to be in for a spooky Halloween treat!

If you really want to get in the mood for Halloween this year there will be a free face painter on the market place from 10 am till 2 pm where young visitors to the market can be transformed into something spooky from a scary ghoul to a creepy spider!

And in keeping with the Halloween theme there will be a special visit from four of the owls from Whitehouse Farm.

There will also be live music with a whole set of spooky tunes to get shoppers in the mood for seasonal Halloween activities.

The market will feature twenty stalls full of fantastic goods and local produce ranging from those all-important pumpkins to rosy apples ripe for apple bobbing.

And there will be no shortage of delicious treats either at next week’s market – among the mouth-watering seasonal treats will be Benny’s Macaroons as well as gingersnaps and a delicious range of tempting pies.

Morpeth Market is managed by Northumberland County Council and Sanderson Arcade, working in partnership with Morpeth Town Council, Morpeth and District Chamber of Trade and other local organisations through the Morpeth market working group.
