Wimbledon theme served up at Morpeth Farmers’ Market

24 June 2015

Morpeth Farmers’ Market is hitting an ace next weekend with a Wimbledon theme at the town’s monthly market.

The tennis themed foodie fun will be on July 4th from 9am until 3pm on the market place when traders will be going all out with a strawberries and cream theme in preparation for the Wimbledon finals.

Julian’s Fruit and Veg will be offering a special discount on his English strawberries which are currently in season and delicious – as part of the tennis themed market he’s offering two packs of English Strawberries for just £2.

You call also stop by JR Jams for some locally produced strawberry jam, Le Mini Macaron for some deliciously sweet strawberry macarons, or why not try a berry-licious cupcake from Ellies Cupcake Kitchen!

They’ll be joining a packed line up of more than 20 local traders with other delicious local produce and crafts including jewellery, sausages, and cheese!

Also on the market place will be special guest swing, jazz and soul singer Jason King who will be performing between 1pm and 4pm as part of the “Music in the Market Place”  to keep shoppers entertained whilst Saturday shopping!

Morpeth Market is managed by Northumberland County Council and Sanderson Arcade, working in partnership with Morpeth Town Council, Morpeth and District Chamber of Trade and other local organisations through the Morpeth market working group.
