August is the Month of Family Fun and Here at Sanderson Arcade!
August is set to
bring the whole family together with lots of events for everyone to enjoy.
Summer holidays have officially begun and the Arcade has plenty planned to keep
all the family entertained.

For the six weeks of the summer holidays, Morpeth weekly
market which is held every Wednesday will also include musical performances
from the likes of Aaron Wiggett, Callum Kewen and David Stoker.
Traders include Benny and his Toon Macaroons, Aileen from
Murphy’s Kitchen with her tasty cakes and pies and Julian with his fresh fruit
and veg.

Our weekend
entertainment will be continuing across summer to make your shopping experience
even more enjoyable. All our performers shall be raising money for The Alan
Shearer Foundation and would welcome any donations- big or small.
We are always
looking for new performers/buskers/musicians to come and perform in the arcade

Our gallery display this month will be to mark the Tour of Britain and it’s route through Morpeth on Monday 4th September. Our gallery display this month will be bike themed in order to celebrate the passing.
Celebrating the Tour of Britain passing through Morpeth , retailers and businesses are encouraged and invited to
decorate their shop windows to celebrate the passing. The winner will be
formally announced at the Morpeth Heart of Business award’s evening. The award will recognise a business who used their design skills and
flair to create an imaginative, eye-catching display to support of Tour of
Britain and their passing through Morpeth.

As August is the month of Family Fun, Sanderson Arcade are holding a charity fundraising festival in aid of The Alan Shearer Foundation on Saturday 19th August from 12-3pm.
The event will include musical performances, face painting, crafts and a special appearance from the Minions and much more! Sure to be a fun event for the whole family to enjoy.

Although the summer
holidays have only just begun, our Back to School Event is well underway in
planning. The event will be taking place on Saturday 26th August and
will include face painting and a ‘Back to School Trail’ with the chance to win
a special prize plus much more!
Returning to school after a long summer is never
something to look forward to but here at Sanderson Arcade, we’re here to make
the return as smooth as possible and our stores have everything you need to
return in style!

2 of our 3 stores at Stanley Terrace shall be celebrating
their first birthday this month. Pets at Home are first to celebrate on the
12th August with Home Bargains following on the 28th August (Bank Holiday Monday).
The stores shall be celebrating in style with plenty cakes
and balloons.
