Sanderson Arcade Security

Hours: 20 - 40 hours

Wage: £10 per hour plus bonuses

An integral part of the Sanderson Arcade team and reporting to the Centre Manager you will ensure that the centre is kept clean and safe for all shoppers and tenants.

As part of the personal specification for this role, the individual must be highly driven, flexible and efficient working on their own initiative at all times. You will carry out regular patrols to ensure the Centre is clean and presentable at all times whilst also meeting and greeting customers and ensuring a safe and secure environment for all visitors and staff.

You will remain vigilant at all times and report matters of suspicion to the Centre Manager straight away. You will respond promptly in dealing with all health and safety matters including spillages and litter, emergency procedures, first aid and incident management working alongside the Centre Manager.

You will be responsible for operating radio system working with local and external agencies e.g. Northumbria Police to monitor and help prevent shoplifting and antisocial behaviour on our Centre. You will also ensure all appropriate logs, incident report forms and contractor permits are kept up to date and completed correctly.

To be an effective Security Officer, you will need to be a confident communicator as you will be required to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity. You will need to be welcoming and patient with customers, and able to handle conflict in a professional manner.

· A valid SIA Security License

· Excellent customer service skills

· Team player with enthusiastic attitude

· Ability to work independently and confidently

· Demonstrate initiative and the ability to prioritise tasks

Previous experience of working in a Retail Security Role is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
