6 Weeks of Summer Fun at Morpeth Market

Six weeks of Summer Fun at Morpeth Market is set to begin on Wednesday 25th July!

Throughout the school holidays Morpeth Market will host six weeks of free kid’s activities and entertainment including face painting, balloon modelling, pets corner and Punch and Judy show.

All activities are free and are running alongside both the weekly Wednesday market and monthly farmers market which takes place on the first Saturday of each month.

All activities will start at 11am and are situated in Morpeth Market Place.

There are also lots of other events planned in the town during the summer holidays including story time every Saturday instore at Waterstones 11:30am and the first ever Morpeth’s Got Talent will take place on Saturday 21st July from 12pm in the piazza area of Sanderson Arcade!

In addition to this, children's author Chris Callaghan will be instore at Waterstones Saturday the 21st July at 2pm to sign copies of his new book, The Great Chocoplot.

Sanderson Arcade’s Centre Manager Joel Plumley said “We can’t wait to kick start Six Weeks of Summer Fun at the Morpeth Market, offering something new every week throughout the school holidays!”

The Morpeth Market is held every Wednesday from 9am – 3pm and the Farmer's Market is the first Saturday of every month.

Morpeth Market is also a part of this year’s annual Morpeth Food & Drink Festival which returns this October and is almost fully booked! Traders looking to attend the festival can apply online via Sanderson Arcade event page.

Morpeth Market is managed by Northumberland County Council and Sanderson Arcade, working in partnership with Morpeth Town Council, Morpeth and District Chamber of Trade and other local organisations through the Morpeth Market working group.
