Celebrate summer at the Morpeth Monthly Farmers’ Market

3 July 2018

The Morpeth Monthly Farmers’ Market returns this Saturday 7th July and traders are gearing up to embrace the hot summer heat wave.

This month’s theme is barbeque food and with Saturday’s weather forecast set to be a scorcher in Morpeth there’s no better place to get barbeque ready than the Farmers Market.

This month’s offering is jam-packed with fresh locally produced meats and foodie treats from traders such as Geordie Bangers, Moorehouse Farm and Northumberland Poultry.

You can also find the ultimate sweet delights from Simply Cheesecake with their range of tasty cheesecake pots- from Brownie and Red Velvet to Chocolate and Raspberry.

Sanderson Arcade’s Centre Manager Joel Plumley said: “Barbeque season has certainly arrived so make sure you’re prepared by picking up fresh produce and sweet treats from the fantastic Farmers’ Market traders!”

Morpeth Market is managed by Northumberland County Council and Sanderson Arcade, working in partnership with Morpeth Town Council, Morpeth and District Chamber of Trade and other local organisations through the Morpeth Market working group.

The Morpeth Market is held every Wednesday from 9am – 3:30pm and the Farmer's Market is the first Saturday of every month.

Morpeth’s “Six Weeks of Summer” entertainment begins on Wednesday 25th July with free balloon modelling 11am-2pm. There will be free activities along with the market every Wednesday throughout the summer.
