Cure the back to school blues at the Farmers Market

30 August 2018

Morpeth’s monthly Farmers’ Market returns Saturday 1st September bringing a host of local foods and tasty treats to the town.

There will be lots of savoury delicacies to find including delicious meats from Moorehouse Farm and sausages from Geordie Bangers!

This month’s market will also have plenty of sweet treats to cure those back to school blues including cheesecakes from Simply Cheesecake and cakes from Once upon a Tier!

Morpeth’s ‘Six Weeks of Summer Fun’ activities come to end on Saturday 1st  with free face painting from 11am-2pm.

Sanderson Arcade’s Centre Manager Joel Plumley said “This month’s market is filled with some great foods and traders, as well as kid’s entertainment to round of a fantastic six weeks of summer fun!”

This will also be the final farmers market before the two day Morpeth Food and Drink Festival on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th October.

Morpeth Market is managed by Northumberland County Council and Sanderson Arcade, working in partnership with Morpeth Town Council, Morpeth and District Chamber of Trade and other local organisations through the Morpeth Market working group.

The Morpeth Market is held every Wednesday from 9am – 3pm and the Farmer's Market is the first Saturday of every month.

Farmer Markets is also a part of this year’s annual Morpeth Food & Drink Festival which returns this October and is fully booked! Make sure to attend the full filled weekend 6th and 7th October!
