Delicious treats and great entertainment at June Farmer’s Market

The popular Morpeth Farmers' Market it set to return on Saturday 2nd June from 9am-3:30pm.

The June Farmer’s Market will see the return of favourites like Geordie Bangers and Ridleys Fish and Game alongside some new traders including Petes Pudding, Simply Cheesecake and Piccalo Coffee.

Shoppers will also be able to enjoy live entertainment throughout the day from local singer, Rhiannon Soulsby.

This is also the first Farmers Market when traders will get the chance to see the new Morpeth Market campaign which features the friendly faces of some of the regular traders – they can be spotted on new lamp post banners, leaflets and posters.

Farmer’s Market traders featured in the new campaign include: Jimmy the Lamb Man, David MacDonald from Geordie Bangers, Les  Elliot from The Honey Store and Catrina Greives from Kitty’s Ginger Wine.

Students from St. Roberts FC First School and Morpeth All Saints First School have also created a collection of portraits of the traders to go alongside the new campaign and celebrate NABMA’s Love Your Local Market campaign 2018.

The St. Roberts FC first school banner displaying all the portraits will also be on display at the June Farmer’s Market.

Centre Manager at Sanderson Joel Plumley said: “We are excited for the June Farmers Market which will see the return of popular regular traders as well as some new faces.”

Morpeth Market is managed by Northumberland County Council and Sanderson Arcade, working in partnership with Morpeth Town Council, Morpeth and District Chamber of Trade and other local organisations through the Morpeth Market working group.

The Morpeth Market is held every Wednesday from 9am – 3:30pm and the Farmer's Market is the first Saturday of every month.
