Enjoy the heatwave at Morpeth’s Farmers’ Market

Morpeth’s Farmers’ Market returns this Saturday 4^th August offering a wide range of tasty local food and sweet treats.

With the heatwave set to continue, the Farmers’ Market is the perfect place to spend a warm Saturday afternoon sampling the finest produce from around the region.

This month’s market has a variety of sweet treat traders just in time for a school holiday treat- with cakes from Once upon a Tier and fresh scones from Churchill’s Kitchen!

There will also be lots of savoury delights to find including sausages from Geordie Bangers and delicious pies from Murphy’s Kitchen- perfect for Saturday night tea!

Morpeth’s ‘Six Weeks of Summer Fun’ activities also continue on Saturday with a visit from Old English Falconry 11am-1pm. Free kids activities and entertainment is being held at every Wednesday weekly market and monthly Farmers Market throughout the 6 weeks of summer holidays.

Sanderson Arcade’s Centre Manager Joel Plumley said “We are celebrating all things summer at this month’s Farmers’ Market with lots of delicious food and treats to sample, as well as some great entertainment for the kids to enjoy!”

Morpeth Market is managed by Northumberland County Council and Sanderson Arcade, working in partnership with Morpeth Town Council, Morpeth and District Chamber of Trade and other local organisations through the Morpeth Market working group.

The Morpeth Market is held every Wednesday from 9am – 3pm and the Farmer's Market is the first Saturday of every month.

Farmer Markets is also a part of this year’s annual Morpeth Food & Drink Festival which returns this October and is almost fully booked! Traders looking to attend the festival can apply online via Sanderson Arcade event page.
