Morpeth Farmers market goes sweet for World Chocolate Day!

27 June 2017

July’s Morpeth Farmer’s Market is packed with plenty of delicious chocolate and sweet treats this weekend.

The monthy market will be hosting traders such as Kenspeccle, selling truly indulgent treats as well as the French master chocolatiers Cocoaecosse, offering unique sweet chocolate creations. Including chocolate slabs filled with honeycomb, coffee and orange.

They will be joined by a packed line up of more than 20 local traders with lots of tasty local produce including sausages, and cheese as well as local craft stalls.

From 11am the market will also welcome local musician Holly Rees who will be performing acoustically.

Assistant Centre Manager Lottie Thompson said: “This month’s Farmer’s Market is the perfect place to taste some really delicious chocolate treats as well as lots of other yummy local products.”

Also don’t forget that you will be able to see and taste a fantastic line up of foodie traders and local produce at the annual Morpeth Food and Drink Festival on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th October 2017.

Morpeth Market is managed by Northumberland County Council and Sanderson Arcade, working in partnership with Morpeth Town Council, Morpeth and District Chamber of Trade and other local organisations through the Morpeth Market working group.

The Morpeth Market is held every Wednesday from 9am – 3pm and the Farmer's Market is the first Saturday of every month.
