Morpeth Farmers’ Market returns this weekend

29 October 2018

The monthly Morpeth Farmers’ Market returns this Saturday (3rd November) with a fantastic line up of local traders.

Pick up your winter warmers and Bonfire Night treats from the Market, where traders will be selling fresh breads, meats, cheeses and jams as well as sweet treats and homemade gifts and crafts.

Familiar faces will make a return including Geordie Bangers, Northumberland Cheese and Moorehouse Farm.

Marsh Loves Mallow and Mazzeh Spice will join the monthly Farmers’ Market for the first time after joining the town for the 6th annual Food & Drink Festival.

The winner of these years “Trader of the Year” award at the Food and Drink Festival, Kitty’s Ginger Wine, will also be joining the Farmers’ Market this weekend.

This month’s market is the first edition since the successful two-day festival which took place earlier this month.

Sanderson Arcade Centre Manager Joel Plumley said: “We are excited to welcome back the monthly Farmers’ Market this week and we are delighted to welcome new faces from this year’s Food and Drink Festival.”

Morpeth Market is managed by Northumberland County Council and Sanderson Arcade, working in partnership with Morpeth Town Council, Morpeth and District Chamber of Trade and other local organisations through the Morpeth Market working group.

The Morpeth Market is held every Wednesday from 9am – 3pm and the Farmer's Market is the first Saturday of every month.
