Morpeth Farmers’ market returns this weekend

4 March 2020

The monthly Morpeth Farmers’ Market returns this Saturday 7th March bringing a host of the region’s best traders to the town.

From 9am-3pm over 20 stalls of fresh produce, crafts and sweet treats will take to Market Place for the first time this year.

There will also be lots of Mother’s Day gift ideas including Ginka gin and vodka, Kitty’s Ginger beer and Northern Ark plants.

Shelley Louise Candles & More will also be returning to the Market - based in the North East, Shelley Louise Candles & More produce a range of beautifully packaged, high quality scented, vegan and cruelty-free products for the home and body.

This year the Morpeth Markets are due to undergo transformation by the owners of Sanderson Arcade, Dransfield Properties, Northumberland County Council, Morpeth Town Council and the Morpeth Partnership Group.

The transformation will bring new Markets and Events to Morpeth including a monthly Vegan Market, a summer Street Food Market and a Northumberland themed Christmas Market.

Sanderson Arcade Centre Manager Joel Plumley said: “We are really excited to see the return of the Farmers’ Market this Saturday for the first time this year due to the recent bad weather - we have ordered sunshine for this weekend!”

Morpeth Market is managed by Northumberland County Council and Sanderson Arcade, working in partnership with Morpeth Town Council and other local organisations through the Morpeth Market working group.
