Morpeth to host a Craft Market this weekend

The final installment of Morpeth’s Summer Taster Markets takes place this Saturday, August 21st with a Craft Market!

The Craft Market will take place in Morpeth Market Place from 9am – 3pm and will include traders from across the Northeast showcasing a fabulous range of art, crafts, jewellery, gifting, and homeware!

Traders include Rebecca Ridley with ceramic homeware & tableware, Drawn by Rhiannon who transforms hand drawings into digital print designs, Katherine Hodgkinson with a mix of wire flower sculptures and flower paper weights, and Handmade by Samantha with colourful macramé’s for the home.

The market will also welcome a range of artisan jewellery traders including, Jen Lithgo with handmade sterling silver leaf jewellery, Daisy Chain Jewellery with handmade beaded bracelets and Sopharia Jewellery, with their beautiful, pressed flower rings and necklaces.

The market will also showcase some amazing local artists and illustrators including Aimee from Pink & Peach, Helen Nicholson Illustration and 15-year-old Georgia who creates individually hand drawn personalised cards, notebooks, and bookmarks.

Local musician Johnny Duncan will also be playing live music from 11am to entertain marketgoers.

The Craft Market is run alongside the Morpeth Markets catalogue of markets including the Weekly Wednesday Market, Monthly Farmers Market and Monthly Street Food Market.

Centre Manager from Sanderson Arcade, Lottie Thompson said: “We are delighted to be hosting a Morpeth Craft Market this weekend, as voted for by our shoppers and visitors, with a packed line up of incredibly talented crafters bringing a huge range of unique crafts and gifts!”
