Morpeth’s Mini Farmers’ Market returns this weekend

29 July 2020

A mini version of the monthly Morpeth Farmers’ Market returns to the town this weekend (Saturday 1st August).

The Farmers’ Market has not taken place in the town since March due to the lock down, but this weekend some of the regions very best Market traders will back in the town, selling their goods in the Market Place.

Bread and Roses, Moorehouse Farm, Murpheys Kitchen, Geordie Bangers and the Honey Store will all be attending the mini Farmers’ Market from 9am-3pm this weekend selling their local fresh produce.

Northern Ark Nurseries will also be attending, bringing a range of hardy perennials, shrubs and herbs all grown at their nursery in Longhorsley, Northumberland.

Elsewhere in the town, more retailers have now opened their doors including Sanderson Arcade’s ladies only gym, Healthlands, Barluga Morpeth and the Morpeth Larder.

Centre Manager of Sanderson Arcade, Lottie Thompsons said: “The weather is set to be great for our mini Farmers’ Market this weekend so come down and support our fantastic local traders!”

Morpeth Market is managed by Northumberland County Council and Sanderson Arcade, working in partnership with Morpeth Town Council and other local organisations through the Morpeth Market working group.
