National treasure Rev. Richard Coles to visit Sanderson Arcade for book signing
3 June 2024
Shoppers are in for a real treat as national treasure Reverend Richard Coles is visiting Sanderson Arcade to sign copies of his latest book Murder at the Monastery.
The
popular priest, writer and radio presenter will be available to sign copies of
his latest book and to speak with fans of his work at Waterstones on Thursday, June
13 at 1pm.
Murder
at the Monastery will be the third instalment in the hugely popular Canon
Daniel Clement series from the No. 1 Sunday Times bestselling author.
The
story sees Canon Clement
take respite at the monastery where he was a novice following a secret
humiliation.
But the monastery doesn't allow for the break he needs as tensions
are building there too. A mysterious death occurs, and Daniel thinks it might
be murder.
Fans of Rev. Richard Coles’ work will be able to get signed copies of the book and
other titles from his backlist on the day and the author is also happy to pose
for selfies.
In order to meet him, visitors are reminded that they must have first
purchased a copy of Murder
at the Monastery.
Caroline
Dominey, store manager at
Waterstones in Morpeth, said: “The Canon Clement Mystery series is hugely
popular and we are thrilled to be welcoming Rev. Richard Coles to our store.
“We are expecting the event to be busy so we would suggest that
people please get here early. We look forward to welcoming excited customers into
the shop.”
Lottie Thompson, Centre Manager at Sanderson Arcade, added: “Rev.
Richard Coles will be the latest high-profile author to visit our shopping
centre, following the success of our book signing with celebrity chef Rick
Stein last year.
“High turn-out at events like this enable us to attract big names
to Morpeth, so please come along and support the event.”
Among his many accolades, Rev. Richard Coles was previously a
member of the hit 80s group The Communards, co-presented Saturday Live on BBC
Radio 4 for eleven years and appears, from time to time, on QI, Have I Got News
For You, and Would I Lie To You?
He has won Christmas MasterChef, Celebrity Mastermind twice, was
previously a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing and also appeared on Celebrity
Bake Off.
