Northumberland artist captures the magic of Christmas at Sanderson Arcade

Local artist Kenton Duffield has been commissioned by Sanderson Arcade to create an exclusive Christmas painting celebrating the festive spirit of Morpeth.
The artwork — filled with the Arcade’s iconic decorations, twinkling lights, and warm seasonal charm — has been transformed into a limited-edition postcard, available in participating Sanderson Arcade stores and included in shoppers’ bags throughout the Christmas period.
Kenton is a Northumberland-based artist known for his evocative depictions of the region’s landscapes, towns, and coastlines. His artwork is available through Northumberland Art, both online and at his Pop-Up Gallery in Morpeth Market.
“I was thrilled to be asked to create the Sanderson Arcade Christmas commission,” said Kenton. “When the lights go on and the red carpet rolls out in the Gallery, it really feels like the Christmas season has arrived — so I wanted to capture the warmth and sparkle of that iconic entrance.
“Alongside my own paintings that capture the local scenes and atmosphere of Morpeth and the Northumberland countryside, I also take on commissions. Many come from people I’ve met through my pop-up gallery — several have become returning customers over the years.
