Popular Makers Market returns to Morpeth this weekend as traders set to show off their quality goods

Talented makers from across Northumberland and the North East are set to showcase their quality goods this weekend – in what will be the first in a series of Makers Markets to be held in Morpeth this year.

A total of 17 traders will fill Morpeth Market Place on Saturday, March 23, from 10am to 3pm selling handmade and sought-after items such as cakes and bakes, skin products, knitwear and jewellery.

Market organiser and Centre Manager at Sanderson Arcade, Lottie Thompson, said: “We are excited for our Makers Markets to return this weekend.

“The North East really is a melting pot of creativity and events like this are a real opportunity for the makers in the area to show off their talents.

“Our traders take great pride in their work and there will be a brilliant range of products for sale, ranging from jewellery and crafted gifts to specialist teas and pet supplies.

“Come along and join in the fun.”

This weekend’s Makers Market is one of nine planned monthly throughout the year.

In addition, the popular Street Food Markets will also be back with three planned throughout this Spring and Summer on Saturday, April 20, Saturday, June 15, and Saturday August 17.

All Street Food Markets will include an alcohol trader and live DJ. The events run from 11am to 4pm and will be set up in Morpeth Market Place.

The first Street Food Market includes:- Dou_h & Co, Flankman, Piggy Blinders, Posh Street Food and Gourmet Burger Van.
