Sanderson Arcade welcome Sanderson Sisters for Halloween Event!

1 November 2019

The team at Sanderson Arcade lit the black flame candle for Halloween and welcomed the Sanderson Sisters -  Winifred, Sarah and Mary - for a truly spooktacular event!

The sisters could be found in the piazza area of the Arcade for the special Halloween event teaching giving trick or treaters a masterclass in how to fly a broomstick and cast spell!

The centre’s best-dressed parade took place at 5pm, with a collection of ghouls, ghosts, witches, pumpkins and devils.

Judged by Hocus Pocus witches, the first prize went to Sophia Mash aged 8 dressed like a scary devil, 2nd place went to Amelie Rotham aged 6 dressed as Harley Quinn and 3rd place went to Jenny Winnifrith aged 3 for her lovely witch costume.

As part of the centre’s charity fundraising for Cleaswell Hill School the team at the Arcade also held a vote for “Which Beadle Should be Gunged this Halloween. “

As the clock stroked 5pm the votes were all in and counted. With over 100 votes Wayne was the Beadle to be gunged. The gunging fundraiser raised over £250 and took the Arcade to their target of £5,000.

There will be a cheque presentation on Monday 11th November with Cleaswell Hill School and on Saturday 16th November the Arcade will announce the centre’s new chosen charity for 2020.

Assistant Centre Manager at Sanderson Arcade, Lottie Thompson, said: “We’d had a great Halloween event here at the Arcade and would like to thank everyone who came along – we’re particularly pleased that our gunging fundraiser helped us to achieve the target for our 2019 charity; Cleaswell Hill School.”
