Shear Delight as The Wool Room Opens for Business

The successful British online retailer The Wool Room is opening the company’s first store this Saturday (August 25th) - right here at Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth.
The Wool Room works closely with The Campaign For Wool, which has HRH Prince Charles as its patron, and focuses on sourcing and selling the higest quality British Wool, bedding and blankets as well as beautiful soft furnishings and gifts.
The company has taken units 16 and 17 along the Arcade’s Edwardian style gallery and has spent £30,000 transforming the 635 sq ft unit into a sleek and contemporary store.
The doors will open this Saturday with a big launch event planned for mid-September.
The brand new Wool Room will be next door to the boutique chocolate shop Curiously Wicked which is also currently undergoing its own exciting expansion plans due to open on Saturday 15th of September.
Managing Director of The Wool Room, Chris Tattersall, said his company is passionate about the natural benefits of wool as a renewable, eco friendly resource which is particularly suited to sleep products.
Based in Bradford, West Yorkshire, the company aims to support the British Sheep Farming Industry and prides itself on being the wool bedding experts – based on the strong belief that wool duvets, mattress toppers and pillows can improve sleep quality by up to 25%.
Chris added: “We are really excited to be opening our first store here at Sanderson Arcade. Our products are hugely popular with our on line customers and we are looking forward to spreading the word about the benefits of wool in Morpeth.”
