Shoppers experience the ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ this Halloween at Sanderson Arcade

Shoppers are to get ready for a spook-tacular Halloween at Sanderson Arcade this year as the centre welcomes characters from the Tim Burton classic, "The Nightmare Before Christmas.”

On Tuesday 31 October from 12:30 until 3:30pm Jack Skellington, Sally, and Oogie Boogie will be giving families a chance to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of Halloween Town and Christmas Town whilst posing for photos.

A costume contest will then be held at 3pm where the spookiest, most creative costumes will be judged by Jack Skellington with prizes, kindly provided by Mr Simms Sweet Shop, up for grabs for first, second and third place.

Little ones can enjoy safe and fun trick-or-treating throughout Sanderson Arcade all day by looking out for the pumpkins in participating store windows.

Free Face Painting will also be available on centre for finishing off that scary look from 12:30 until 3:30pm.

Halloween themed music and delicious food and treats will be available from 10am until 3pm with The Flour Room located outside Sandersons Boutique department store selling a range of spooky treats and snacks.

Centre Manager, Lottie Thompson, said: “We’re urging families not to miss out on this free spine-tingling Halloween extravaganza. We look forward to seeing you there for an unforgettable Halloween celebration.

Also on Friday 3 November, a special book signing takes place at Waterstones by celebrity chef, Rick Stein. Rick will be promoting his new book, Simple Suppers, from 12:30pm.
