Farmers’ Market returns this weekend for “national no diet day”

Morpeth popular Farmers' Market it set to return this Saturday (6th May) with a host of fresh local produce from breads and cheeses to meats and unique gifts.

The May Farmers' Market will see the return of favourites including Great North Bread, Ridleys Fish and Moorehouse Farm Meat.

Homemade hot street food will be available for market-goers as we see the return of the delicious “Curry Rolls”.

May 6th is also “National No-Diet Day” which is the perfect opportunity to indulge in the variety of food on offer at this month’s Farmers’ Market from Geordie Bangers to Northumberland Cheeses.

There will be plenty of sweet treats to pick up from Kenspeckle Confectionery to Churnells Farmhouse Kitchen cakes and scones.

The market will be accompanied by entertainment throughout the day from acoustic guitarist Johnny Duncan.

Centre Manager Filipa Conceicao said “We hope you will come and join us for family fun at this month’s Farmers Market packed with a great offering of local produce and top class entertainment from Johnny Duncan”.

Morpeth Market is managed by Northumberland County Council and Sanderson Arcade, working in partnership with Morpeth Town Council, Morpeth and District Chamber of Trade and other local organisations through the Morpeth Market working group.

The Morpeth Market is held every Wednesday from 9am – 3pm and the Farmers Market is the first Saturday of every month.
